1)
”The
sighs of Ruamoko (Maori ernes Vulcan God): Volcanoes & Earthquakes in New
Zealand.
2)
“Homo
Sapiens 2.0: Genetic Enhancement and the future of Humanity”, and The human genetic
Engineering revolution.
The Lecturer Jamie
Metzl, who talked about Genetic Enhancement and the future of Humanity, and the
Human Genetic Engineering Revolution, joined suddenly our dinner table that
evening. Very exciting a Ph.D., in Asian History from Oxford, a JD from Harvard
Law School and a Curricula Vitae a mile long was available for discussion right
beside us.Of course, I could not refrain from asking him about, if he had read the two novels, Brave New World of Aldous Huxley, and 1984 of George Orwell, and what he would think about being given a role as a gamma in their universe?
He got off too easy, as he denied having read those two novels. I could feel he was uneasy with that answer.
I think it is very unlikely that a doctor talking about the perfect alfa human being, he wants to create by a revolution in Human Genetic Engineering, should not have read about the consequences this could have for people, who did not have a chance to have their genes updated to new alfa standards, but were left as gammas.
Well he is still at the table, but moving further away from me, so it is getting harder to hear what he replies.
Jamie and Jens
